Companion system was introduced in The Eldor Scrolls Online in Blackwood chapter. It is a great system in the game. You can read more about it on game's website. In this post, I am going to talk about increasing your Rapport with your companion. When you gain a companion, its Rapport bar is in the middle. As you progress in the game, this Rapport moves towards right and goal is to reach Cordial level.
This Rapport progress is very slow. More you play outdoors alongside your companion, more Rapport you will gain. Still, it is not very fast. There is a way to progress faster. I noticed that there are two activities that are always going to increase Rapport.
- Looting of Psijic Portal
- Successful Scrying
Psijic Portal
These portals appear from time to time in your zone. You can not see these portals unless you have attained Psijic Order skill line under Guild tab. You do not have to reach Level 10 of this skill line to be able to see the portals. All you will need is to complete first quest to gain this skill line. Level 1 of Psijic skill line grants See the Unseen passive ability. Every time you will look a portal, you will notice that companion Rapport will increase by one point.
Scrying
You will need to gain this skill line to be able to Scry and Excavate items. Each successful scrying activity will increase companion Rapport by one point. If you are looking to obtain mythic items like Ring of Pale Order, then you will going through lot of Scrying. Keep your companion with you when you perform Scrying and make your companion happy.
